HOLTON – Darwin D. Larson, 62, of Holton, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home.
He was born November 28, 1949 in Webster City, Iowa, the son of John and Elvira Williams Larson. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He attended school in Webster City, Iowa.
Darwin was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Disabled American Veterans.
He married Susan Marie Garrison Trautloff April 6, 1994 at Hiawatha, KS. They were married by Pastor Lawrence Boye. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Delores.
Other survivors include Shawn Alan Trautloff and wife Misty, Horton, Amy Marie Plankinton and husband, Russell, Holton, Robert Lay, in Texas; six grandchildren, Cora Trautloff, Jerry Trautloff, Chelsey Trautloff, Justin Plankinton, Cody Plankinton and Michael Plankinton and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation is planned. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marine Corps.
