Mary Ellen Fulkerson

GOFF – Mary Ellen Fulkerson, 61, of Goff, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at her home in Goff.

She was born May 30, 1950 at Axtell, the daughter of Robert Keehn, Sr., and Regina Welch Keehn. She attended Goff High School and graduated from Wetmore High School in 1968.

Mary Ellen was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Wetmore. She had served on the City Council at Goff and coached softball for ages K-12.

She married Russell L. Fulkerson on November 8, 1969 at Wetmore. He survives, of the home.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her father.

Other survivors include three daughters, Denise Arb and husband Keith, Fort Worth, TX, Nicole Strathman and husband Mike, and Rachel Fulkerson, all of Goff; one son, Jason Fulkerson, Goff; her mother, Regina Keehn, Perry; one sister, Rosie Williams, Hoyt; seven brothers, Robert Keehn, Jr., Holton, Steve Keehn, Springfield, MO, Ronald Keehn, Prairie Village, Bill Keehn, Perry, Jim Keehn, Wichita, Joe Keehn, Shawnee Mission, and Jerry Keehn, Topeka; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7th at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Goff. Mary Ellen will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m., followed by visitation. She will also lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Stormont-Vail Diagnostic Center, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P. O. Box 1034, 66436.
